Pino Modica joined Plexus Ventures in October, 2000 as Vice President in charge of the Los Angeles, California office. He is one of the company's pharmaceutical marketing experts.
Mr. Modica formerly worked for Recordati S.A. (the Swiss headquarters for the international operations of Recordati of Italy) where he held the position of International Marketing Manager, responsible for coordinating all of Recordati's international marketing activities. He also played an integral role in the company's licensing and business development activities and led several cross-function Project Teams.
Mr. Modica brings seventeen years of diversified experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in the areas of global marketing and licensing. Prior to joining Recordati S.A., he spent five years with A. Menarini S.r.l., in the company's Florence (Italy) headquarters where he held positions in marketing, business development and international affairs. Pino started his career in pharmaceuticals as a Product Manager within the marketing department of American Cyanamid Corporation's Italian subsidiary, Lederle (now Wyeth Lederle). A lawyer by training, Pino Modica worked as a financial consultant for Sanpaolo Bank of Italy prior to getting his post-graduate degree at the Italian Trade Commission (Rome) in International Marketing and Foreign Trade.
